Motor Liability

As with all of our products, we are able to tailor our Motor Liability Investigations to the individual needs of our instructing principals. Our investigation is modular, and we are able to carry out any combination of policyholder interview, driver statement, witness statement, locus plans/photographs, as well as other connected enquiries.
Our report and associated evidence is presented in a way that will enable the reader to readily understand the issues, and move on to handle the claim quickly and efficiently. We are fully equipped to give as much, or as little, advice and guidance as is required by those that instruct us.
We fully appreciate, and cater for, the desire of all parties to bring claims to a speedy and fair conclusion. Equally, we understand that a minority of claims will be litigated, and our report and enclosures, therefore, comply with current civil court rules.
In summary, our full liability investigation can include some or all of the following:
- Claim form collection
- Indemnity & liability statements from policyholder/driver
- Examination of driving licences and vehicle documents
- Tracing & interviewing witnesses
- Statements complying with civil court rules
- Accident locus plans and photographs
- Police enquiries and statements from investigating officers
- Media searches for press coverage of the accident
- Case law reference
- Opinion & recommendations on contractual issues, liability and settlement strategy
- Notes taken at court cases or inquests
All final reports are compiled within the offices of Prospect Claims, and by an experienced claims handler.
